3 D Mine Sweeper The classic mine sweeper on a round ball that you can turn to see the other sides. It's challenging and more interesting. I still haven't won the expert level. Be sure your pop up blocker is turned on though. Its one of THOSE sites.

12 Holes of Christmas Golf A very fun golf game that is sufficiently challenging. The graphics are nice and except for the coloring being primarily green and red I am not sure why it is called Christmas golf. If you like golf challenges then this is an enjoyable game.

Acrophobia This is a back door way into the site at Uproar. There's no ads or registration required this way in. The game provides letters like WTF and players make up words to match like ... Whats that? Food? ummm er - or something like that. LOL It can be fun.

Ask the Spirits This is an Ouigi Board game with spooky effects. You can ask questions that are answered yes or no and for information about who is at the Ouigi Board from the other side. It's for entertainment only and not to be relied on as anything other than that.

Battleships Play against the computer on this very well done version of battle ships. The computer plays fair and is challenging to win against. Good looks and sound effects. A game that can be played in 4-8 minutes depending on your luck.

Beast Blender Make your own beast! Use parts of various animals provided to create your own fantasy beast. Be sure to check out some of the very strange things people have come up with in the archives.

D*mn Birds! I would never shoot an animal and my yard is set up to attract birds of all sorts. Living on a marsh I especially have grown to love birds. BUT, this is just a game kids and its very well done and highly challenging. It requires strategy and skill.

Dogs Playing Poker Play poker with a group of scruffy dogs. The odds or winning here are the same as in any game.

Escapa An infuriatingly simple game that you will do well to play for even ten seconds. Just keep your square away from the others, that's all. Sounds so easy right?

Fafu The Ostrich I never played Zelda but I have read that it is similar to it. A cute ostrich has several challenges in it's quest to collect eggs and other things in order to win the game, something I still haven't done yet. Nice graphics and a bit puzzling at times.

Feed Me A very cute game starring an animated hungry potted plant that you manipulate on the screen through, over and around obstacles to eat insects and drink water. Several levels to play through.

Frost O Matic build a number of snowmen and other wintery creatures using this simple but fun program. I saved a compilation that I built and sent it on an invitation for a party. It was a big hit. Very good for a winter game.

Glow Worm Place the cute glow worms in spaces and match three or more to clear them. I don't know how many levels there are but lots of them (over 30) that get more challenging as you go.

Gold Miinor Las Vegas Players control the miner's position and harvesting tool to grab chunks of gold, diamonds, jewels and sometimes things they don't want to score points that can be traded for helpful tools at the end of each round.

Guess Five Five rounds of five turns to guess words by guessing up to five letters at a timel Its quick and challenging. Word people will like it.

Ink Link An often hilarious game where players take turns drawing a word they are given to illustrate while other players guess what it is. Various levels of play mean you don't have to be a great drawer to enjoy this game. Limted chat but with the right players :)

Making Faces Very cool program where you can animate the faces given to speak the words you type in with various voices. You can also upload your own photo and animate that for some hilarious effects. E-mailable results.

Invadazoid A blend of Space INvaders and Asteroids. Thisis my latest addiction. Tow modes of play include one limited round game of attack or an unlimited round of survivor. I must admit this one has kept me playing for quite a while now.

Mind Fun When there are fun players in the room this trivia game can be a hoot whether you know the REAL answers or not. The wrong answers can be quite hilarious. Register for chat functions.

Mortanoid Use the paddle made of skulls to knock the skull into overhead blocks filled with bonuses. Take aim at scary mosnters falling from the sky for extra points. Great music and sound effects.

My Secret Word Discovery 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 or more lettered words by guessing letters in each row with 6 chances to win. There is no scoring so playing one round or twenty is up to you as is the number of letters that will be in the secret word.

Open House A strange game where you build couches for points. There are several strategies for getting larger points and that is the challenging part to figure out what to do next given the pieces provided. Sometimes this link does't work and you have to go to games.

Orbox I really enjoy this game although I can only play it every few months because once you have solved it you remember how to do it. You navigate your light through space to its destination using platforms to push off of or transport through.

Pipsoh More than a dice game. Players decide where to enter their scores for each roll. That requires thinking through how to get the highest score overall. Some is luck of the roll but the players choices makes a difference as to how many points they will get.

Pizza-hot Your character delivers pizzas on a scooter navigating through obstacles and picking up bonuses when you can. The graphics are very well done and it's quite realistic in a cartoonish sort of way.

Place It A quick puzzle game where there are just colored shapes and no background to match up. I like it if I have 5 minutes or less to play. You can choose how many pieces to play in the set up. It can be harder than it looks.

Planet Gobbler A mindless sort of game where a big pair of lips chase planets around and eat them in a specific order. I loooooove the sound effects. They are just too funny. Try leaving the game on and watch someone come in a room. Ahaha. It is a challenge and fun.

Present Grabber A cute game where you can choose yoru character and use a grabber to collect Christmas Presents of various values. You can buy tools between rounds to help your mission. It's kind of like gold miner but more interesting.

Proximity You can play against the game or another player at your computer. The object is to take over the board by placing larger numbers next to existing numbers. There are several set up options for added variety.

RSVP A matching card game that requires a lot of thought and planning to win.

Sherrif Tripeaks A card solitare game with 20 game boards that you have to complete to move on. Much more interestng and challenging than regular solitare.

Star Ball Yes, it's another glorified pong type shooting game but it has it's merits.

Subhunt Live It's the classic sub hunt game where you play against another person. It's very nicely done.

Sveerz A kind of silly game that you have to listen to in order to make points. Each little sveerz has a different color and clicking them in the order they sing out gets you points.

Swap Job A slider and match game with really cute graphics. Each round is timed and there are optional ways to clear areas of the board given from time to time.

Tangleword Multiplayer game where a group of letters are formed into words with points given only for the first, second or third person to form the word during each timed round. I learned a lot of new words playing this game! Chat area but not very active.

The Caption Game Players make captions to various pictures and then vote for their favorite. It's a hoot. You can also load some of your pictures to be used in the game. I loaded some of mine; maybe they will use some of them.

The Quickling Very beautiful graphics and effects. The game is fun and is almost mesmerizing to play. Take your quickling character on an adventure by running and jumping through magic terrains. I haven't got past the first stage yet so it is challenging.

The Sandman A beautufl game where you pour sand to direct the little sleep walkers through a horizontal and verticle maze. This game can take some time to play if you are good at it. It has definitely been my sleep aid on more than one occasiion. lol

The WORD GAME that feeds people! Guess the definitions of words and for each correct guess grains of rice are donated through the United Nations to hungry world citizens. :-D Wowie! Why not play every day to increase your vocabulary and help feed the hungry?!

Twistingo A bingo game with a twist. Numbered balls roll out and players must complete the board before they reach a target. I lke the hawaiian graphics although whoever named the boards don't know their Hawaiian, one board "Ohana Nui" would mean Family Coconut! LOL

Virus There are options in the set up of this game so you can create various game situations. Clicking a colored block changes the colors of surrounding blocks of the same color. The object is to change everythng to one color in the number of turns given.

I am and have been lately going through some really tough times. I grew up in a Christian home where the bible was read daily. It occured to me tonight to do something I havent' done in a long time. That being to open the bible and see if there was a message for me upon the page I landed on. I did and it spoke to me in a comforting way. And then I thought to try it again with even more faith that I would find something to give me the strength I need to keep moving forward and reinforce my faith in God and the ways of the universe and this is where I turned to. It is perfect. No matter what religion you believe in, I think there may be some strength in this for you as well. Yes, I had to get past the reference to God as a him part to let it sink in. I don't think of God as a him at all. But beyond that I found my peace. Maybe you will find yours too.

Which country's flag and system of government would we live under if we are unable to defend ourselves? No one hates war more than me! To prevent war, I believe that we must remain strong and not leave ourselves open to the attacks that would surely come under the reign of NOBAMA.

i was recently sent an email passaround that had a great moral to the story. I couldn't cinfirm if it was true or not but it reminded me of another I know to be true because I witnessed it. Some years ago I was in line behind an elderly lady wearing a very large diamond ring who pulled out food stamps to pay for her groceries. The man behind me piped out comments saying "The government is giving away my hard earned tax dollars to a woman wearing a diamond ring the size of Texas." The lady's face really did turn red and I HATE to admit it but it did go through my mind to wonder why a person wearing something obviously worth many thousands would have food stamps. The man continued to make comments until finally the woman had a tear rolling down her cheek as the cashier glared at her obviously in agreement with the man. After she placed her bags in the grocery cart, the man took one final shot at her when she stopped to look straight at him.

In a very quiet and humblle voice she said something to the effect of "Sir, it might interest you to know that last year my husband was in an accident that caused us to lose every thing we worked for our entire lives. We lost our house, our cars, our furniture and currently all we have is a few small things that will fit in the room my sister has allowed us to live in. As we sold everything to pay our bills over that time my husband insisted that I not sell the ring he gave me that belonged to his mother. My husband died two months ago and I can not find any one to hire a woman my age. This ring is all I have in life to tie me to my husband and it means everything to me. Without it, I think I would not have the will to go on. Every morning I wake up and feel like my husband is still with me because of it.

About then the man was looking pretty indignant and made a very sharp comment as a comeback to her and questioned her right to chose to keep the ring when it obviously would buy groceries for her for a long time to come. Her answer to him was that their only daughter was getting married the following month and it was all that she had to give her. The man replied something like, "Yeah Right." The woman shook her head and walked away obviously hurt. The man continued to spew off about welfare rip offs and such things in a tone that reflected a bit too much superiority to be very effective on anyone at that point. I think we were all a bit confused about how to feel.

About a month later, I saw a notice and photos of the marriage of a young man and woman in the paper. There was a long article about them as they were both what we might call over achievers. It included how she had graduated at the top of her class and had just been accepted to Harvard where she was going to study medicine. At the end of the article she made a statement that she wished her father could have been there. The article presented him as a well known doctor who had been injured and subsequently died from injuries incurred when he fell from a burning building while saving two children from a fire. Apparently he had been a volunteer firefighter when he was younger and before becoming a doctor. She then thanked her mother for being so supportive and for her help in making it financially possible for her to start her new married life going in the direction of her dreams.

And then there it was, in the final picture at the bottom of the article was the family shot where next to the young woman stood the lady I had seen in the grocery store. So many things went through my head and heart at that moment. I could only guess that she had given her the ring in question because the photo wasn't large enough to see the wedding ring the young woman was wearing. I could only guess the money from selling the family heirloom that meant so much to the woman was what she had sacrificed for her daughter's future. One thing I didn't have to guess was that I would never again be judgemental about the appearance of people who were presenting food stamps in a grocery store line. All I could think of was that I might have been one of the few who would ever be aware of the humiliation the mother had endured that led up to that happy and proud moment in their lives and the prejudiced attacks on the woman's character.

I did not for a minute stop to think the woman should have sold that ring anyway rather than take food stamps given these circumstances. I did think that the world was already blessed with two children still being alive that otherwise wouldn't be. I also thought that a bright young female doctor would some day help many others because her mother and father had so much love for each other that they couldn't otherwise stand to part with the ring that represented their union. I said a prayer for all of them and clipped the aritcle. I hope some day when I go through my momento boxes from yesteryears I might come across it because now every time I hear remarks about someone who looks like they have more than they should I think of it. And every time I see a big diamond ring I wonder if it will ever mean so much to so many.

This week the House Agriculture Committee will hold hearings "to review legislation amending the Commodity Exchange Act". The hearings are part of the House's effort to determine the role of speculation in the current rise in fuel prices, specifically if speculation is raising the price of oil above what the market should be dictating. The Commodity Exchange Act is the legislation that deals with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC), the federal agency that regulates commodity futures and option markets.

So far the CFTC has stated that fuel prices are the result of high demand from India and China, the use of corn ethanol, and weather.

Let Congress and the administration know what you think.

(In my opinion, to need to form a committee to investigate the role of speculatioin seems to indicate the lack of common sense in our House of Representatives. However, I suppose that is the way things are done. And of course, it is obvious to anyone who understands speculation, that it has a tremendous affect on the prices of fuel. There may be a high demand from India and China as well but speculation also drives prices possibly even more so than high demands. For the zero population growth minded people, this is the future you wanred us about,)

trackapartner.c is one of the many sites that are set up to collect legitimate phone numbers to sell to tele marketers. Another example of viral marketing and exposing your own self to having your phone number gleaned by pesky marketers are the call your friends and leave a message gadgets that are frequently found on myspace's and other blog or group type sites. Believe me once they have a number it gets passed on forever. This ends up costing you minutes and money.

Another bad viral marketing area are the web sites that ask you to put your friend's names into any form along with their email address so they can send a personalized message - sometimes including a clever video - that displays your friend's name - such as the "Joe Smith etc" is running for president video. ( a recent addition to the scum playing field ) Even some of the free ecard sites in spite of their privacy policies do this so think before you send an ecard. Does your friend or family member really want their name and address given out like that?

I have tested a few of the card sites using the handy mailinator site for bogus return mails. Hallmark didnt' spam me but some of the others did.

Just a warning. My friends don't listen and keep sending me viral marketing junk - oh gee thanks friends lol.. Maybe someone will happen along and realize not to do these sorts of things that they never thought about as to why a site would set up such a free service in the first place. REMEMBER ALMOST NOTHING IS FOR FREE. Millionaires are being made selling your personal information.
